And, yes, we are all HUGE Carolina Panther Fans!
Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a great team to break that glass ceiling! For me, I hit that ceiling for several years and could not, for the life of me, figure out how I could incorporate more hours in a day - all of them! Finally, another agent's assistant told me that I needed an assistant and she would be happy to join me...and she did! That was exactly what I needed! That first assistant has since retired and now, I have grown a wonderfully devoted team!
I partnered with a showing agent, Scott, who is absolutely amazing! We have been friends for 20+ years and working together since 2008 - of course, the worst of times turned into the best of times for me with the addition of Scott to the team! Scott has a contractor's background and is my go-to person when I need to find that diamond-in-the-rough or the needle in the haystack - the clients LOVE him! He is the best buyers' agent I've ever met and he also gets credit for naming the team!
My wonderful assistant, Christina, is a former client who was referred to me from her mother, who is also a past client. Christina bought a home from me several years ago and then surprised me by getting her license and immediately began working with me. She has been THE most amazing assistant - EVER! She plans and caters our client gatherings, works Contract-to-Closings and manages our database, among many other 'hats' she wears!
During the recession, I learned to build a website and with the help of a great support group, managed to create one that garners a ton of leads! When I was busy working with clients, my leads would go unseen for weeks at a time (I know, sad, right?!) If they reached out with a phone call, they got me; otherwise, they moved on as I just didn't have the bandwidth to work those leads. So, I hired my sister-in-law, Elizabeth to work the leads for the team and she is phenomenal! She too, is licensed and is a whiz at converting those leads, baby!
Last but, certainly not least, my fabulous hubby manages the finances for the team (payroll, bookkeeping, etc.) as well as working the websites - building a page a day for one of our websites and posting my listings on a whole host of sites. He was recently licensed so that he could assist with other miscellaneous tasks to help the team.
We are 5-strong (all licensed) and I could not do without any one of them - they are family and we have a wonderfully cohesive team. I can go out of town and know that the team has my back, without fail. Most importantly, my team affords me the ability to work face-to-face with clients and do what I do best. Each and every one of us is committed to providing an exceptional customer experience, during the transaction and beyond.
I am ever-so thankful for my team!
