This is my fifth post in Debbie Reynold's 10-day Thanksgiving post. There have been many members taking this challenge and like them I have many things to be extremely grateful for in my life. Today, I am thankful for my Church.
My husband and I are members of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church and we attended the 11 am service today, as we do most Sundays.
I am so grateful for our religious freedom and our church. The service was, as always, great. I enjoyed listening to the young teens singing and hearing the children answer questions during Children's Time. You never know what will come out of the mouths of children. I love how the young people participates in the worship service.
After the service, everyone was invited to the Thanksgiving Community Luncheon held in the church basement.
The Thanksgiving luncheon was delicious and there was plenty of food and desserts for seconds and thirds. Food boxes were delivered to those unable to attend.
As a child we always went to Sunday School and then to the morning worship service. I am so grateful for the teachings I learned in church as a child and the freemdom to worship when and where I desire. Yes, I am so thankful for my church!
