Friday was the last day for an employee I have had in my life for 10 years. She worked for me as my assistant when I was working at another brokerage. We worked out of my home, my living room was her office. She put up with me greeting her in my pajama's from time to time, my cats, listening to me shower or iron plus I home-schooled my son and my mother-in-law lived with us! We worked from my home for almost 4 years before my husand and I started our own brokerage and we finally found ourselves working from a "real" office. When we moved, KR became the face of our company, answering phones and greeting our guests, clients, employees and agents plus working as my assistant. After a year she moved out of those roles and became our “Closing Department.”
I know that people need to grow in their lives and are always looking for a better life for themselves. That is a such a big driver for ALL of us! KR found a new opportunity and while it was a huge disappointment to lose someone I have grown to deeply love, I do understand and wish her the best in her new endeavors as she continues to strive for the things that matter to her.
KR was such a big part of our company and its growth. Her importance and sweet spirit in my life and the lives of others was something I will miss. (I am crying as I write this post.) What I have come to recognize is that I am grateful for all she has been to me, helping me achieve my goals and being a loyal employee for so many years.
I was blessed to have known her in my life and for that I am Thankful. ♥
