Recently, we have seen some concern about negative news in the media. I am an avid reader and I think the media can be a terrific resource for up to the minute research and information.
Often, realtors are asked about the quality of the local schools. There are many reports available to share with buyers and I usually look to the local media for additional up-to-date information about area schools. It is a good idea to share a variety of sources about schools and towns so that the buyer can make a decision based on their criteria.
Bergen County has wonderful towns and terrific schools. Each may have unique aspects that an individual or family is looking for --- that special quality that makes that town THEIR home. Below are some fantastic resources to share with your buyers AND to have on hand when you are marketing a home for your sellers. BEST OF LISTS
Recently NJ MONTHLY Magazine compilied the TOP TOWNS in New Jersey and the Best Places to Live in NJ. Over 566 municipalities were statistically ranked. Many Bergen County towns were included in the TOP 50 --- MAHWAH was rated the NUMBER ONE place to live in BC this year! In November of 2007, Business WEEK featured an article that touted their picks for GREAT PLACES to Raise Kids --- for LESS. And, Bergen County's Oakland, NJ came in at number 43 for stats based on the kinds of things that offer kids-and their parents-the right combination of safety, community, and education.
