Thankful for Living in this Era

Good morning, Myrl Jeffcoat and imagine how our great great grand children will think when they are living in their era....

Hi Myrl Jeffcoat - This is so true. I often wonder what my mother and father who are no longer here would think of today's advancements. Of course we can always go back in time and talk about things like typewriters or phone booths to our little ones and get the same blank stare. 

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Much has changed during our lifetimes. My father was born in 1902 and died in 1967.

 Some of us forget that we are all here for a purpose and some of us take a whole lifetime figuring out what that purpose is Myrl Jeffcoat 

Such great things to be thankful for and I agree, this era is fun to live in too!  I hope that your day is being enjoyed!

I think about what my parents thought about modern day miracles being born in 1913 and 1910 like when we went to the Moon. Nedical advances and the internet alone qualify as miracles to me in advancing my business and beating cancer.

We certainly have come a long way baby!!!!  Can you imagine going back to the 1950's with what we know now?

Mryl,  I often marvel and all that I have seen in my short lifetime. I marvel at all of the changes in and around the area where I live as well. 

Myrl, You are so correct about all these tecnology advancements we have seen in the last 40-50 years. My Mom and Dad both passed away in 1983 and they would be amazed if they could see what we are doing these days. Have a great remainder to your day.

 I am not sure how we lived before cell phones...technology really seems to help us so much in our daily lives and business!

Hi Myrl: My grandmother used to tell me about living in a time before there were airplanes, and how incredible it was to watch the first planes take to the air, and she was astonished we could land on the moon. I don't think she would have liked the internet. Does it seem to you that we have made vast advances over the last 10 or 20 years, though? Like everything hummed along and then all of a sudden, bingo, technology took a giant leap?

I remember going to the airport to watch the planes take off. That was in the late 50's and early 60's. Boy have things changed. Now you can't get close to the planes.
