Today I am thankful for my home.
While my home is not perfect, it is perfect for us.
Over 20 years ago, God answered our prayers for a home we could afford.
Through my husband's and my efforts we'd saved enough for the 20 percent down payment.
Even though I was licensed we hired my mother, Silicon Valley real estate legend Judy Carr to be our buyer agent. I didn't want to forget anything or lose my perspective. She successfully negotiated and secured us the home.
It was well worth my not getting the commission money to have a true and trusted professional consulting, negotiating and overseeing the transactional details.
I am grateful I had such an excellent professional on the job.
She totally knew I could do it well myself, but also understood my fears. I couldn't risk blowing the most important decision of our lives.
