King For A Day

King I saw the new Ironman movie over this past weekend and enjoyed the story with the theme of being a Super Hero with extraordinary powers.

In Real Estate and in life if I could be

KING FOR A DAY

and wave my magic sceptre, what would I wish for?

How about flexibility from lenders with borrowers in distress? Sellers to set realistic prices on their homes. Buyers to be confident and "look" for homes first and then "make a decision." A world economy that would moderate gasoline prices to quit stressing everyone out.

What about life in general? How about being just a little kinder to your fellow man today than you usually are? Opening up, breaking the ice and talking to a stranger. You know, you only are a stranger till you have that first conversation. How about effective communications? Choosing appropriate words. Clear thinking, writing, and speech. Sprinkle in some humor. Quit being so darn SERIOUS about everything. More hugs, smiles and laughter would be mandatory for at least this one day you hold the magic wand. For those with aches, pains, illnesses, grief, or tremendous problems weighing them down, a day where the load was lightened by someone in your life who could give you genuine help and lift your spirit.

What powers would YOU show the world if you were King (or Queen) for a day??

Hail to the king. Gary you'll make a pretty good king.

Great picture Gary! I saw the movie yesterday. I don't know if I would want to take that role on for a day, there are too many things to change! ha,ha

How about stopping all the political power struggles between nations, ending war, poverty, and world hunger. On second thought, not even a king for a day could handle all that.

If I could be queen for a day: I would make all my daughter's problems disappear, give her children a sense of security and kick her stupid husband in the a.. Now that would make me happy for at least one day.

Gary - As usual, I enjoy your positive outlook on things. Keep up the good work! If I were king for a day, I would probably clone myself and declare my clone to be the king so that I could relax.

Gary, my teenage son was absolutely stoked about the Iron Man movie. Now I want to see it!

Mana: Too much responsibility to be king. Everyone would always want something. But for a day it would be fun.

Patricia: Being at the top in leadership has to weigh on you. Look how it ages our Presidents.

Jim and Maria: Being kind always helps the world.

Carol: It's overwhelming to fix it all in one day, isn't it?

Fran: I think with our many faces that making us all look the same for a day would allow us to appreciate the differences.

Becky: Fix those family issues. Probably really need a magic wand for that one : )

Jason: Two of you, can the world handle that? : ) Oh, one is on vacation. Then it's fine.

Andrew: What's fun about that movie is it is a well written story and the action moves along. I thought it was VERY GOOD, even with all the special effects.

Gary, I would close my eyes and visualize sending light and love to all corners of the world and hope that peace and understanding would rule the globe.

I would wish for all of the above...plus I would like to be in my fortys again, and I'd like not to worry about money and I'd like that cute dog!

Gary - Great photo. If were Queen for a day I'd be pretty busy - all kids would have a safe, warm place to live with people around who loved them, they'd have enough to eat, access to quality medical care, and be able to learn in a place that challenged them to do their best. The ripple in the pond will start with them.

What powers would YOU show the world if you were King (or Queen) for a day??

Let's see - If I were the Queen for the day, I'd probably have back to back a closings happening in each room of my castle. And at the end of the day the Queen would be in the counting house counting all her money!

Feed all those that have gone hungry for so long.

Joan: Well each age bracket has its pluses and minuses, so I would enjoy my current age, but who wouldn't want to be carefree about any money concerns, and a good dog of any kind definitely makes our life better.

Lynn: I like your safe, secure, and growing environment you painted. It has to begin with us to help create it.

Carol: Well you are one focused in your castle aren't you? A very successful Queen of the business world : )

Trey: You are right, that so many in the world go to bed hungry each night. That would be a great thing to change.

Gary Great post, Sometimes it is good to dream about an alternative universe. Being kind to your fellow peers is something we should do every day.

Jason & Deanna: I always joke that when you have your own planet things will be this way, but for now, we have to deal with this one. Kindness to everyone makes this one always better.
