I’m Thankful for my Passions – Day 10
Today is the final day in the ActiveRain 10-Post Thanksgiving Challenge that is being hosted by Debbie Reynolds.
So there is still time for one last post either before or after dinner!
It’s been lots of fun to participate but even more so to read posts from so many others about what they are thankful for.
I’m thankful for my passions, for the energy they bring to me, and the enjoyment I derive from them…they help to complete my life!
First and foremost I am passionate about my family, especially my wife, 2 daughters and their husbands, and my grandkids. There isn’t a moment when I don’t enjoy being around them, talking with them, spending time in their lives, and realizing how special they are to me.
We just enjoyed a few minutes of Facetime as a family since we cannot all be together today – the kids are such a joy to watch when they see each other, either in real time or on the iPhone or iPad.
I’m passionate about art, as is my wife. We have collected for many years and had an art gallery for 3 years back in Cambridge near Boston before we relocated to the Left Coast .
We have more art than we can hang in our house, and share it with our children, but still we continue to buy it, although more judiciously than in the past. Whenever and wherever we travel visiting art galleries and museums is always on the agenda!
While our tastes have changed somewhat over the years we both appreciate the emotions, the passion, and the talent so many artists bring to their creations, whether it’s paintings, sculpture, pottery or photography.
I’m also passionate about real estate and all that I do to help others achieve their goal of home ownership, whether it’s a first home, a vacation property, moving up or down-sizing. I really enjoy being such a big part of my clients’ lives whether buying, selling or both, and knowing that they have taken me into their trust to help them make the best decisions.
The turkey has been stuffed and has already been in the oven for a couple of hours. The vegetables are ready for roasting, the table is getting set, and there’s plenty of time to enjoy a walk around the neighborhood and enjoy our beautiful weather.
Wishing you a
Very Happy Thanksgiving!
