Why I am Different than the Next Realtor...

I thought about reasons why a buyer or seller would want to work with me over my competition.  What makes my style of business better or worse than anyone else? After all, here in NC we're are licensed under the same real estate schooling, right?  Does the public really understand that has so little to do with this line of work?!

So, why me...

I live by the Golden Rule, I expect to be treated the same

I pride myself on negotiations

I educate my clients before I try and sell them a home

I return calls/emails in a timely manner

I am reachable

I'm honest enough to admit that I do not have all the answers...I don't "fake it until I make it."

I actually sell several homes each month, so I'm active in our market

I'm not desperate to take a listing just to have one...I won't over promise and under deliver on price

I have a team...if I'm booked, I have a buyers agent to assist me

I'm personable and enjoy meeting people, not just looking at them with dollar signs

Some of my best referrals have come from buyers or sellers that didn't work out...life changes plans sometimes.  It doesn't mean you drop someone and move on without making sure you've left a good impression

I sell any priced home...I specialize in service, not selling homes

I offer mortgage services all in one stop...saves buyers time and I can help them shop and compare ethically

I can help clients refinance if need be...maybe selling isn't always the answer!

I keep in touch after the sale...I don't fall off the earth!

I could go on and on but why are you different?!

Erica, good job. Sounds like you have all your ducks in a row!

Erica,

I agree with Betty that it seems like you have all your ducks in a row the problem is that every agent says the same thing then they get locked into a buyers agent or listing agreement and come to find out differently and at that point its too late. Personally what sets me apart as a mortgage specialist is that I am accessible YES accessible anytime day or nite weekday or weekend to do pre-approvals via cell phone email or office. But again thats what every LO says and then the client gets locked in and again screwed.

Hi Erica.  I like the post.  Simple.  Explains your business well.

Andres, I have to disagree with you on being "locked" in.  No client is ever locked into a listing or buyers agreement.  If I don't do my job the way I promise up front, fire me!  Period...If I deliver on my work, I will earn the rewards!
