Text messaging offers amazing results

Every client or potential client leaves their home with three items each morning- a wallet/purse, the car keys and a cellphone.

If you are a real estate agent, why not stay top of mind with each and every client by communicating with them via their phones using text messaging? Mobile marketing/text messaging is an effective and easy way to mass contact your clients when compared other traditional forms of communication or advertising.

Most real estate agents utilize multiple forms of communication tools to reach their customers. Email, Facebook, Twitter, direct mail and local newspaper/local business publications. Text messaging is a compelling option when 98% of text messages are read within three minutes. Compare that to emails where only 20% of emails in an inbox are read or a Facebook post that is read by only 12%.

Now that we have caught the attention of our clients with our text message, what is the rate of response or engagement? Again, when compared to traditional forms of advertising or social media marketing, texting remains an effective communication/marketing option. Obviously, the rates below depend greatly on the content of the message, but that being said, even if you are texting an important informational message, the percentage of view rates will still dwarf other forms of messaging.

Tim, have not thought about texting open houses or other marketing, and not sure I would start that.

I understand, but many agents are utilizing the platform to increase traffic to open house events or to simply communicate important messages that most often just sit in your client's email inbox unread. The ability to mass text your clients (that opt-in to your messages) will increase traffic to whatever you are promoting or advocating.

How do you currently promote your open houses and what else are your currently utilizing to market yourself?

Thanks for your input. If you decide to explore mobile marketing down the road, I would be happy to discuss with you via phone/webinar (10-15 minutes max) to discuss how easy to employ and how quickly you will see results.

You are very welcome Karen and thanks for the feedback. I agree with you regarding your comment about texting someone that you might not know.

Our platform is different. It enables an agent or any business owner for that matter to grow their contact list via phone numbers of new, potential future clients. These "new, potential future clients" actually opt-in to the texting program, thus giving you permission to mass text them in the future. They want to receive messages from you!

This is important because legally one cannot mass text anyone without each person's approval. That's the beauty of our platform; an agent can mass text any important message and see an increase in traffic to open house, website, Facebook page, etc.- and this is all accomplished legally under the Telephone Consumers Protection Act (TCPA) guidelines.
