As we close out 2016 I wanted to first offer my gratitude for finding my niche 30 years ago which has made quite a difference to my family and I with a great life style and less hectic work schedule than I experienced my first 13 years of real estate doing the regular things a real estate agent does to be a top producer or even survive in the business.
As you know by now my niche is Probate Real Estate but this blog today is to share with all agents and brokers what I found in 2014 which again is changing my real estate business life and will finance my retirement when the day comes. You may be in your 20's or 30's and too young to worry about this or your in your 40's, 50's or like me 60's and have some handle on your retirement but take just a minute to find out how MY REAL ESTATE BUSINESS is going to finance my Golden Years after I'm done selling and listing real estate. Isn't this a pleasant thought? Just think from 20 or 30 years or in my case 40+ years all my efforts and production can keep paying me after I stop. This is the key focus (Retirement) I would like you to think about as it is going to happen to all of you, yes you too. Either age, health or desire is going to stop your real estate business (sales and listings) someday and I ask you no matter how good it is now or going to be for you WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO when that day comes.
This is what compelled me to leave ReMax and Hall of Fame Status back in 2014 as I knew at 64 if I wanted to have the same life style my family enjoys when I stop working and earning Six Figures Plus, I better do something now as after the 2007/2009 Real Estate Hit, my retirement program wasn't going to cut it. I did not want to end up just surviving, paying bills after 40 years of Top Producer status and high earnings. So I called up a broker friend who had brought to my attention what he just did which was providing him with Stock Option Ownership in his new real estate company (Ownership without investing $) and also how he was building a Six Figure Revenue share program which he would vest in 3 years and pay him for life and even to his family after he passes.
In 2013 when he brought this opportunity to me I passed. I was happy at ReMax, had great Branding, loved my broker owners, Top Earnings so why should I rock the boat. Well in 2014 I went down with some kind of virus that put me in the hospital for a week and bed ridden another month and my eyes where opened. For the first time in a 40 year real estate career I couldn't go out and earn. This scared me big time. If I had stopped that day working for ReMax I would leave with nothing but good memories of big earnings and great friends and status but my income would stop. My office would be filled with another agent within a week and soon it would be forgotten I was ever there. The difference was my life would still be going on, my bills still coming in, my family still wanting to enjoy the lifestyle. I decided in bed recuperating that I would change this outcome to my benefit.
I called my broker friend up and asked how he was doing with the company I passed on since it had been a year. He told me Great and that it was better than expected. I signed up the next week after speaking with the President and the CEO. I was number 474 (agent) to sign up with the company who had been around since 2009. I cut my costs to work from $25K at ReMax to $16K and production went up because of less distractions (I will explain later).
Fast forward 2 years and here is where I'm at and what I want you to know as I'm moving slow with this but have a 5 year program. I currently own over 20,000 shares of company stock worth around $5 per share, all from my production and stock award program the company gives me. I also have a monthly revenue share of $2K (Nov's Check) per month which comes to me every month for just helping the company grow. The company is poised to hit 2000 agents this year with more than 100+ coming over every month now. I will vest in my stock awards next Aug (2017) so they are mine if I stay, leave or pass. My monthly revenue is on the way to the $5K-7K per month first goal I have with my 5 year program and then on to $10K per month. This is my goal you can set any number you want. $1000 per month to whatever but the key here is for taking the time and a little effort in what you are doing everyday anyway within your real estate business and Finance Your Retirement when the day comes. PLUS this all comes without Time Management, Compliance or Liability for other agents you share this opp with. WOW!
So very important to grasp. I want every real estate agent and broker to understand this. I have been passing on my probate niche to agents and brokers who want to add this niche for their own benefit and now I'm passing on what I feel is the BEST Agent Broker working for themself opportunity going. No not limited to how many agents or net profits with this program. There is a reason over close to 2000 agents and brokers have come onboard and by 2020 10,000 more.
