No matter how you celebrate the season, this is a great time to connect with community through peace and goodwill towards others. Listed below are just a few ideas to help you plan your December.

Throughout December the Kensington Holiday Seasonal Walk is open to all ages, and will take you to along Antique Row on Howards Avenue, as well as into Garrett Park and into Rock Creek Park as well.
Bring the kids to Veterans Park in Bethesda on Saturday, December 3rd for some family fun at this year’s Winter Wonderland. Enjoy a visit with Santa, and the student choral concert of holiday songs. Watch winter come to life as ice sculptors will create holiday visions in ice right before your eyes.
Get some holiday gift shopping done while supporting local artists at the same time. Head over to Glen Echo Park for the Holiday Art Show & Sale. Happening throughout the month, and even into January, there is something for everyone at this popular annual event.
For the premier presentation of the popular holiday tradition, The Nutcracker Suite, plan to be at the Strathmore Theater in Bethesda, December 21st- 23rd. This year’s show is sure to be truly exciting, as for these three nights only, the original Moscow Ballet Company shall perform the Great Russian Nutcracker. If you have already enjoyed this ballet, it is still worth seeing again, especially with kids and grandchildren, with whom you can continue the tradition.
