Bora Bora Nui

There are so many fabulous shots of this resort. It was bought out by the Hilton Chain. Currently it is being renovated and will open late March of 2017 as a Conrad Hotel.
It is not an easy trip for the faint of heart. There is an international flight from Los Angeles to the main island and then you take a puddle jumper to Bora Bora. From the airport, you take a water taxi to your resort! I recommend staying overnight on Papeete before getting on the puddle jumper. Remember, you have a weight limit for luggage on that puddle jumper.
This picture was taken with the intent of capturing the over-water bungalows in that crystal blue water with the powder sugar white sand, a little greenery and some color of the tropical vegetation.
One more thing, the cost of a trip like this is also not for the faint of heart! A night on an over-water bungalow will run around $900 - $1000 a night depending on the time of year! A bowl of soup costs $18 and a hamburger could cost as much as $28! YIKES!
Most of the tourists are from the Austrailia/New Zealand area or Japan.
