Just when I thought my Indian tech support guys had had enough of my nonsense and it was safe to accept unidentified numbers again, I was wrong....oh so wrong. "Hello sir. This is Richard from Microsoft Windows to alert you to a problem that you're having with your computer. Am I speaking to the owner of the computer in your home?" "Yes." I answer. " I own my windows." Richard continues. "No sir. I am calling on behalf of Windows." "Are you wanting to install new windows in my house? I ask. "No sir. I'm calling about a problem with your computer." "Do you install the windows yourself or will you send somebody local?" Richard's irritation becomes apparent when he asks me. "Sir are you deaf and dumb?" I guess Indians don't understand that that's a completely insensitive question but I answer anyway, "Yes, Richard. I'm probably a little bit of both. Which are you?" Click. "Richard, Richard.
