helpfulhannahs paying it forward

How do we pay it forward to others .Anyone who knows me knows I love clothes . I passed this on to my daughter she also loves clothes . There are times we visit each others closets and borrow each others clothes .

Every year I go through my closet to see what either does not fit me or I know I am not going to wear anymore and put the clothes in a pile . These clothes get donated to the needy   I also do this with my shoes , hanbags and coats .They are really appreciated by those they are given to every year

At work we donate food to families that are not as fortunate as we are .  All through the year I drop off food to me neighbors . I may buy a dozen bagels .I cannot eat them all so I will drop off a half a dozen to my neighbor across the hall .  It is small things like this I try to do all year around  .

One day I was short money when food shopping  I forgot my credit card and for some reason I had not enough money in my wallet . The cashier went into her own wallet and gave me a dollar . The next time I was in the store I gave her an envelope with a $10 gift card . She did not want to take it but I insisted  I told her how much I appreciated what she did for me .

There are many other pay it forwards I could talk about but sometimes they are best kept personal and between friends but they know who they are .

I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday and continue to pay it forward everyday throughout the year this year and every year

Hi Hannah -- I think Sheri Sperry - MCNE® brings up an excellent point.  Your pay-it-forward approach to life is such an important part of who you are --- you likely can't recall all of the moments when you have participated.   That says a lot about you.

Michael Jacobs  I do recall  but sometimes people do not wish to have these moments made public . It is the little things we do that are important  don't you think so ?

Thank you for your comment it is appreciated

Hannah

Good evening Hannah-what a beautiful gesture by both you and the salesperson.  And yes, I too love to donate my clothes because I know that if I can not enjoy them anymore, someone else will.
