Real Life - People...Big and Small
Those of you who follow me on Facebook know that our fur babies are constantly doing something cute or funny...just their very BEING is cute and sweet. My husband thinks I dote over them too much but, what is funny, is that they are all very much in love with their 'daddy!' He moves, they move; Charlotte rides around in his lap, sits at his desk with him - often face-to-face - and purrs so loudly when she is around him. I love how sweet they are together!
The dogs are just the same - they don't ride around with him but, they follow him from room to room and when he leaves the house, Barney (our Lhasa) just sits by the door like a sad sack until Ray returns home. He is very protective of Ray, sometimes just laying over one of his wheels so he can nap and in the event Ray moves, it will awaken him. It really does make your heart smile when you see them together.
Our other dog, Duke, is also a follower! When Ray enters a room, that tail is wagging so fast you can't tell what color it is! Ray utters his name, Duke is up-and-Adam!
On warm, sunny days, Ray goes outside "to get some vitamin D!" The dogs typically go out with him and sit by his side for 10 or 15 minutes. This particular day, he got out the door without them seeing him...until they realized he was on the other side of the door!
I walked out to the porch and was able to capture this shot of the three of them waiting ever-so-patiently for his return. I happened to have my phone in-hand but, because the sun was in front of me, the photo is not very clear of Ray but, you get the gist of the story - regardless of the quality!
Our four-legged fur babies are just 'little people' - they love with all that they have...and unconditionally.
