This is the October 2016 Ojai Real Estate Market Update

According to the United States Census of 2010 the city has a population of 7,461 and spans 4.401 square miles giving the city a population density of 1,700 people per square mile. Rough estimate of population today is 7558.

Ojai has many beautiful areas for recreational activities like the beautiful Lake Casitas Recreation Area and Los Padres National Forest. The city is also home to the Ojai Valley Museum and a charming walkable village center. The city embraces a more relaxed pace and features quiet streets, wonderful schools, and comfortable homes.

Homes for sale in Ojai range from quaint little first-time buyer homes up through sprawling estate-like properties.

Let’s take a look at the Ojai Real Estate Market for October 2016.

We see that there were less homes sold this year than the same month last year. Two to be exact.  However, the average price for Ojai Homes did increase and the median price did as well.

It is also important to point out that the lower price range of Ojai Homes is very competitive. If one is looking to purchase in this particular price range, one needs to be fully pre-approved and ready to go as condos in this attractive price range often get multiple offers or a good offer within days that is accepted by the seller.
