Be sure to go out and vote today if you live in the eastern part of DeKalb County where there is a runoff election for the Super District 7 Commission seat.

On Tuesday, November 6, 2016, there will be a runoff election for the DeKalb County District 7 Commission seat.  The race is down to two candidates and they are:

Randal Mangham, an attorney and former state legislator.

Greg Adams, a police officer at Emory University.

There has been some confusion in this race because there is a DeKalb County judge also named Gregory Adams.  It should be noted that this is not the person running for the DeKalb District 7 Commission seat.

DeKalb Super District 7 covers about 350,000 residents on the eastern side of DeKalb (see map here).  The commission seat became available earlier this year when former Commissioner Stan Watson gave up this position to run for county tax commissioner.  Mr. Watson did not win that election.

Please make it a top priority to vote today.  Politics is local and there needs to be a trustworthy voice for the people in DeKalb.
