It was a very busy Sunday and Monday.
Sunday was dedicated to name selection for our new venture into aerial photography - cross referencing the 60+ ideas with GoDaddy.com to verify that the same name was available as a .com domain.
We also spent some time at Fry's Electronics and Best Buy to take a look at drones and pricing.
Neither had the DJI Mavic Pro in stock - it takes 6 to 8 weeks for fulfillment after order placement.
Therefore, that will be our second drone purchase.
Neither offered the DJI Phantom 4 Pro - although that is available from DJI directly.
However, the pricing due to our membership in the SkyEyeNetwork - part of the event last week - means that we can get pricing better than retail - in fact - 30% off retail! Interested - send me a message and I can step you through how to become part of the network. And, no, we do not receive money for helping people get involved with the network.
Monday saw the following Action Items crossed off the fast moving "to do" list.
Final decision on name: Sunlit Drones, LLC
Purchased sunlitdrones.com (nothing on the site yet - it's "parked" at GoDaddy)
Hired a Statutory Agent
E-Filed the Articles of Organization for the LLC with the Arizona Corporation Commission
E-Filed "Notice of Publication" with the Record Reporter
Spoke with the drone distributor to get a few questions answered.
Hired a designer through Fiverr who was offering 2 logos within 24 hours in multiple resolutions, including Vector files.
Here are the initial logos, which we have requested revisions to - but it gives you an idea of what the final logo will look like.
Today I'm heading to a local airport to meet with the owner of a Flight School to discuss the process for getting my pilot's license "current" - which expedites the FAA Part 107 - needed for flying drones for hire.
Suzanne will be downloading the files from the network that they provide - Wordpress website template, all marketing collateral templates, it's literally a "Business in a Box".
Oh yeah - and an MRI this afternoon - just one of the minor remaining items on the medical checklist to complete by 12/31/16 - nothing sinister - full expectations that no further action will be needed!
Tomorrow, we'll be placing the order for the DJI Phantom 4 Pro, plus two extra batteries and a camera "filter kit" - it will arrive by Friday - and we'll be "in the air" this weekend - weather permitting!
The first customers of Sunlit Drones will be...us...and our real estate company will be paying Sunlit Drones for their services...taking aerial video of our own listings to integrate into our current virtual tours.
Once that has been completed - we will be happy to assist other real estate agents in Arizona with their aerial photography requirements.
