Hi, Andrea...congratulations on this wonderful listing. I noticed it has a woodstove. That will be nice additional heat on those really cold nights. This sounds like a wonderful property. I'm sure you will have this one sold soon.

Thank you Debbie! The woodstove adds coziness to the room.. can't you just picture it on a cold winter night?

What a cool listing, Andrea. I'm wondering if people search for multi-generational homes or if they look for multi-family homes as a search term? That's what we would call such a property in California. Or maybe a duplex or two-family. The terms change so much across the country.

I bet this will sell like hotcakes. These types of properties are very much in demand all over.

That is a good question Elizabeth and I've thought about it, too! Multi-generational home doesn't exactly roll off one's tongue and I haven't heard people use the abbreviated version multigen very much. On the other hand, people expect to find something very different under "multi-family" or duplex around here.

Houses that are conducive to multi-generational living will become more popular. "Aging in place" support systems means more families will be looking for homes that will be conducive to accommodate aging parents.

I fully agree Dave! I've been noticing however that not all multi-gen homes that are advertised as such are actually conducive to accommodating aging parents. Buyers have to carefully look at all aspects/amenities and possibilities with each property.
