On December 06, 2016, CoreLogic reported nationwide home prices including distressed sales gained 1.1% in October of 2016 from September of 2016, and higher 6.7% from October of 2015; while predicted to rise 4.6% for October of 2017.
Frank Nothaft, chief economist for CoreLogic, stated “While national home prices increased 6.7 percent, only nine states had home price growth at the same rate of growth or higher than the national average because the largest states, such as Texas, Florida and California, are experiencing high rates of home
price appreciation.”
