Preparing to Enjoy the Christmas Season in Prospect CT
Christmas is a big time in our family. It always has been and will carry forward for years to come. It is so much a part of our year end that as our grandson came into the house on black Friday he ran into the great room looking to see our Christmas tree up and ready for Santa.
That day there was a little bit of disappointment as the tree was still stored away from the previous year. Yes, it's artificial but we put up a 10 foot tree and they are tough to get fresh cut each year, we have been through that.
So with the tree up, all the lights brightly shining off the ornaments, we anticipate the arrival of that special man in the red suit. We assist him a little with a pre-Christmas luncheon for family and friends and especially those with children under the age of 12. While all are enjoying the afternoon we also have great anticipation for the arrival of Santa Claus.
As I am so well connected with that jolly man, he comes by as a warm up for his big day later in the month. The children in attendance get to have quality time with Santa and will also receive a little present as well.
We don't get as much in decorating done on the outside any more. It isn't as easy as it once was and there are only so many ours in the day. But for the rest of the season, we have the joy in our hearts and when Christmas morning arrives, it will be apparent that Santa did not forget anyone in our home.
