The 2016 Army - Navy game is in the books! Congratulations...

The 2016 Army Navy game is in the books Congratulations to the Army Black Knights and their Victory over the Navy's Midshipmen! A hard fought battle was won by the United States Military Academy Cadets. This Victory ends the Naval Academy's 14 year streak!!!

I have been watching most of the games as my Team has been losing for so many years. Needless to say this year I opted a new tradition: Maybe if I do not watch the game my Team will win!!! Indeed my strategy worked.

The final score: 21-17

In case you are not familiar this Inter Service Rivalry dates back to the year 1890. The victors get "Braging Rights" for a year: GO ARMY !!!

Interestingly President Elect Donald J Trump was at the game and as tradition has it when Presidents go to the game the 1st half they sit on Army's side and then move over to Navy's side for the second half!

Here is one quick Trivia : President Dwight D Eisenhower played in an Army - Navy game !

Patricia Kennedy just seems that way in the 117 times Army played Navy:

Army: 50 wins Navy: 60 wins and 7 Tie games...

Just the last 15 years it has been this perception since Navy won 14 and now Army finally won 1....

Those are great helmets! The uniforms and helmets probably cost more than an average car and they really look great! Thanks for the history lesson about where the President sits. I didn't know that until now for the United States Military Cadets game. Let's hope that the game plan 2017 and beyond will be fair and great because after all, isn't that the goal? To make America Great again! Congratulations to the winning Team; however, all the members played a great game with good sportsmanship too. That makes them all winners as far as I'm concerned.

Patricia Feager I joined the military when Ronald Reagan became president and the result was a "second rate actor" according to many ended up upgrading the Armed Forces... can you imagine we actually had to get in shape physically? Then to boot we actually had to qualify with the weapons and we had actual tactical readiness exercises... and the Iron Curtain collapsed... how about that... so you just never know ironically his predecessor was a Naval Academy Graduate....ups.....
