Twelve Days of Things To Do During the Christmas Season!
The holiday season is upon us and as we continue to get up and show up for clients, there is also much to be done behind the scenes for family and friends. The following list is a compilation of activities and ideas to set in motion!
1. Make phone calls to catch up with past clients. Consumers are still thinking of buying and selling this winter season. The cooler weather creates an optimum shopping environment, especially when in and out of vehicles. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant to reconnect while discussing details of the day.
2. Shop online when short on time. As often as possible, shopping local stores. contributes to the overall local economy. Sometimes it isn't possible, especially when you have a very busy schedule showing homes or going on listing appointments. Saving money is a key to buying online as well.
3. Made that list and checked it twice for holiday greeting cards or calendar's to send to clients? This is a great opportunity to stay Top of Mind with your Sphere of Influence through the rest of 2016 and into the New Year. Perhaps it will make your phone ring and start to fill your pipeline for 2017.
4. Planning Christmas get-togethers with past clients, friends and family? Part of the fun of hosting an event is creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. From decking your home with bright, holiday decorations to seating arrangements for guests, the extra care will be greatly appreciated by all.
5. Family holiday photos create lasting memories to be cherished. Schedule a photo session with a professional photographer or take your own digital photographs. One-hour photo stores can print them quickly and you can create mini-photo albums and give them out as gifts to create smiles all around.
6. Are you an artsy-crafty type person? If so, there are so many fantastic ideas out there online and in the stores. Pinterest carries ideas for children and adults from felt whimsical candy cane mice, baby sock advent calendars, tree photo ornaments, gum drop pops, cookie cutter ornaments, button snowman cards.
7. Looking for Christmas lighting ideas for your home? Take a road trip in your community to see how beautiful night and holiday lights cooperate for stunning results. From decorative multi-colored LED strings to classy white strands, you can create that perfect WOW! factor and be the center of attention on the entire block!
8. Looking for Christmas activities for family members or guests? A Christmas Tree-Trimming Party is a FUN affair! Before guests arrive, set up the tree and string the lights and garland. Place ornaments and ribbons in baskets so they're easily accessible. Provide snacks and drinks to all and enjoy!
9. Searching for an entertaining venue to attend? Come ye one and all and take your family and friends to a local Christmas venue. Whether it is a Christmas parade, an old fashioned Christmas activity or a Christmas musical, the merriment they create is something to celebrate!
10. Plan a Christmas Caroling activity! Dress up in Santa hats and invite family members, fellow agents, neighbors and friends to join in. Downtown areas with a lot of foot traffic are best! Or go door-to-door in neighborhood areas. You can also send out a flyer prior to announce the event.
11. Accept invitations to Christmas activities, parties and dinner events. Eating healthy can be difficult due to all the rich foods that are served, especially the sweet variety. If you have any doubts, eat the desserts first! (Desserts is stressed spelled backwards for those who may be wondering...!)
12. Time is passing quickly so continue to write out your To-Do-List. Mark off items as you go and check it twice to accomplish the goals set forth and remember Santa is making his list too! Have you been good or bad for goodness sake? It will all be revealed in a short few weeks...
It is never too soon to start thinking of the year ahead and how you plan to continue doing business in the New Year. Of course, continue to follow up and follow through and remember, there are only 2 Fridays left to accomplish 2016 goals!
