Some days it's tougher than others to come up with a topic for our Ask An Ambassador series of posts. We started the series in March 2013. That's a LOT of Tuesdays and a lot of topics covered.
So today is one of those tough days. Mulling ideas and checking for past coverage.
Points are pointless. Yep, been there and done that.
The importance of niches? Been there, done that.
Do you track the sources of your business? Done that too.
How help is just a Rainer away? ditto, ditto, ditto.....
But it's not really writer's block, but just another path to find an idea.
Is it okay to blog about a topic twice?
Of course it is! Well at least within reason! While there's probably not much point in blogging three times in the same week about an upcoming local event unless you're the chairperson of the event, there's no solid reason to NOT hit a topic multiple times if it's a topic that will bring you business.
You know we have a specialty in patio homes. It's not ALL we do by any means (so keep those referrals coming!!), but patio homes are a significant chunk of our annual sales.
And you know what is music to our ears?
Having a patio home buyer call us and say "We were searching for patio home information and you were EVERYWHERE!".
Cue the symphony maestro!
We get there by working our specialty regularly. I'm looking for pretty much any "excuse" to cover patio homes and to touch on one of our local patio home communities again and again.
Sell a patio home in a community? Announce it.
Another phase opens in an existing patio home community? You better believe that's going to get some press from us?
Hear rumors about a new patio home community? Dig for the dirt needed to create another post.
And even if we're touching on the same topic over and over, each time it's going to be a bit different. The mindset may be different. The information at hand may have changed a bit. What LOOKS identical might just have a significant difference that might not have been apparent at first glance (just like this post's picture).
Bottom line, the more specific you can be about LOCAL real estate and homes for sale, and the more often you post high quality information providing the buyers what they want, the more likely those digital breadcrumbs are going to lead a potential buyer or seller right back to you. And isn't that the main purpose for your blogging?
Now let's see if next week I can remember to post about streamlining your processes :)
Until next Tuesday, just Ask An Ambassador if you need help!
