There is always something new happening in Breckenridge, Colorado

Everyone loves new. New year, new gear, new terrain; the best days on skis typically include some element of new.

So, naturally, this winter there will be some new additions to Breckenridge to look out for. For many of the past seasons skiers and riders have returned to Breck and discovered that a new peak, chairlift, or restaurant has been added. Here is a quick rundown of what to expect this new winter season.

For starters, Breckenridge Ski Resort has added a brand new, 490-seat restaurant atop the Independence SuperChair on Peak 7, one of the resort’s most magnificent peaks, and exclusively located near ski-in communities such as the sought-after Mountain Thunder Lodge, or communities like One Ski Hill Place and the Crystal Peak Lodge.

But new restaurants are simply not enough for the sophisticated Breckenridge visitor; if skiers are going to be impressed maybe a Village base area facelift may be in order. Visitors over the years have usually entered the resort through the Village base area on Peak 9. Centrally located, the plaza area will see a new snowmelt system and brick pavers replacing the dated cement surface, making for a smoother transition to the snow. Conveniently enough, some of the most exquisite residential units are situated near by; communities such as the Village at BreckenridgeBeaver Run Resort, and Water House on Main Street that have always been among the town’s favorite destinations.

Breckenridge has always been a preferred vacation spot for snow lovers of all levels because of its varied terrain, amazing powder, and consistently beautiful weather. Yet, the resort keeps things fresh by offering more reasons for visitors to come back and discover something new and exciting, consistently almost every new season.
