The Christmas Joy of a Real Estate Agent!
by Larry Johnston
Every Year, the Real Estate Agents search, to find homes for their Buyers. They go out of their way, when the clients call, whether it is raining, snowing, or just plain nasty outside. Inside, we have to be aware of the inexpected, such as no electricity, broken water pipes, as well as loose animals and homeless squatters.
Again, my holiday wish is to bring a little Holiday Spirit and Joy to the task before us.
“A Real Estate Night Before Christmas"
By Larry Johnston
T’was the night before Christmas and all through the HUD house,
The only creature scurrying, was a gray little mouse.
The plywood was hung on the windows, with screws,
In hopes that vandals, would not, paint their views.
The curtains were on the window, you see,
And my buyer escorted his wife, to be.
While me in my gloves, with the buyer and his wife,
Walked through the house, risking our life.
When up from above, we heard such a sound,
We thought it could be, a tree fallen down.
We ran to the door, to look outside,
To see if it fell, l on my brand new ride.
The snow was blowing, I could hardly see,
When out from the cold, we had to flee.
We went back inside, where it was warm,
Where the house took on, a twinkling charm.
The buyers looked around and the house was a-glow,
With twinkling lights and some mistletoe.
The HUD was delightful with furniture and light,
While the sounds outside, rang through the night.
They looked around and everything had changed,
From here to there, had been rearranged.
When we walked back outside and into the cold,
I heard my buyers whisper and then said “SOLD”.
Have a Happy and Safe Holiday Season.
