There is a famly down the street that just makes ends meet and I remembered that just before Halloween stopping to drop off some extra donuts and cider.
With the hustle and bustle time flew by and here it is the middle of December and stopping at the local grocer to get baking supplies the Mother was in buying a few things for her family. She saw me first and came over to thank me for the goodies and wished me a Merry Christmas. During the conversation it was brought up that gifts had been bought but dinner was going to be meager.
Thinking this over the realization that Thanksgiving had come and gone and I had forgotten them.
The place where I have gotten turkey's for years is going to stop here and deliver mine and pick up the boxes of food to deliver to their house so I know the dinner and dessert will be on the table.
I will be popping by with a tray of my Baklava on Friday and ask if they need anything for dinner.
Hope I never ever become and remember to help someone in need always.
