The Christmas Mouse Is Ready For Christmas

It's Time for the 2016 Version of Show Us Your Home for the Holidays

The Christmas Mouse is ready at my house for Christmas. He's a quiet little mouse, rather quirky and I love him! He never disturbs my peace and quiet and he doesn't squeak much either. My mouse keeps me company and makes me laugh whether I need it or not. He doesn't speak at all: yet I find myself repeating this verse: "Twice the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse...." He doesn't move! He just stares! And he has big ears, hands, and feet! The Christmas Mouse sits comfortably on his red chair waiting for Santa Clause!

Outside the weather is getting a little chilly. I saw Santa's reindeer getting ready for Christmas somewhere around Midlothian, Texas. Although the sun was shining and the grass was still green, for some mysterious reason snow was falling down only over one section of this electric-wired fence with the light bulbs hanging over it. The deer didn't see me hiding in the bushes but I saw them kissing without a mistletoe!!! Christmas is in the air and so is love!!!

Hello, Endre Barath, Jr. - I know what you mean! When my husband was alive, he enjoyed deer hunting. As long as I didn't participate, I shut the whole idea out. One day I came home and found a deer in my bathtub and I never went inside that tub again! Eating venison was always out of the question!

Reindeers were made to fly!!!

Those pictures are great - your mouse is obviously quite content, and the kissing deer are great.

I laughed at you and Endre and your venison comments. It's not for everyone, that's for sure!

Hi Patricia - I like your Christmas mouse - he's very festive. He wouldn't do well at our house, though - all of our animals are especially fond of anything with stuffing in it. Have a Merry Christmas!

Dick Greenberg - Don't worry, I won't be sending my Christmas Mouse to you this year. He'll be safe with all his stuffings right here in my house in Flower Mound!

Have a Merry Christmas! It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!

I don't now what the gestation period is for deer but if compared with humans, there are always a lot of fawns running around in early spring.  They don't all come from the stork.

So charming is Mr. Mouse. Alas, Mac would drag that poor little guy throughout the house, until only stuffing would be left in the house. I love whimsical holiday decor. And deer kissing too. Thanks Patricia.

"Female deer are short day breeders, so they generally come into estrus in the fall, from October to December."

Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 - Thank you! I was so pleased to see the deer. I felt compelled to dress them up a bit with a Santa Clause hat, Christmas lights and a light sprinkle of snow! The kiss was real! I'm glad you like it!

The Christmas Mouse just got framed in holly. I didn' think he needed anything else. His look says it all!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
