Thought Drought Tuesday...
One In An Occasional Series
You can almost feel it in the air.
A certain specialness about the days.
Well, I’m feeling it too.
Except mine has been self-diagnosed
as a bit of thought drought.
Today I’m choosing to mix an odd mishmash of ingredients and create this hodgepodge cocktail of sorts which was initially inspired by a photo of a deflated inflatable. Hardly worthy of additional explanation, I found solace in the uplifting words of others:
The one thing women don’t want to find in their stockings on Christmas morning is their husband.
Joan Rivers
And this particularly astute observation:
For Christmas this year, try giving less.
Start with less attitude.
There’s more than enough of that in the world as it is –
and people will usually just give it back anyway!
Anne Bristow
And just because I like him:
I bought my brother some gift-wrap for Christmas. I took it to the Gift Wrap department and told them to wrap it, but in a different print so he would know when to stop unwrapping.
Steven Wright
That’s it...I’m outta here. Happy Tuesday.
