It has taken longer to reach the Million Point Club than it did to surpass the 500K mark. But, this month, I finally reached that celebrated Millionaire Point Club. I joined Active Rain in 2011 for the networking opportunities, the relationships with other professionals from across the country, the educational resources from other members and AR University, and to build an online presence to help grow my real estate business. I strongly believed in blogging back then, and I still do, although I haven’t been able to contribute as often as I would like. Therefore, one of my top goals for 2017 is to get back into the building up that online presence, and renewing the many friendships that I have made here in the Rain.
I do wish to thank all the Active Rain members, who gave me the encouragement and inspiration to blog, but especially my mentors like Bob Stewart, Bill and Liz Spear, Barbara Todaro, Anita Clark, Patricia Kennedy, Mike Cooper, Kathy Streib, Dick Greenberg, and Debbie Gartner just to name a few. These Rainers and several others wrote encouraging, motivating, inspirational and educational posts that taught me a lot and helped me become a better blogger. I remember the motto that kept me going back then, “If You Build It, They Will Come”. Yes, it didn’t happen overnight, but I eventually got some referrals, and online clients, who discovered my blog.
A word of advice for all the new members, stay focused and continue to blog and you will also reach and surpass your goals in Active Rain. I still believe that Active Rain is a great investment to build your business, to establish relationships for referrals, and to get educated on many topics for the real estate industry.
For all the seasoned Rainers in our community continue to post good quality content and you’ll grow your business and build more relationships. Look Out! I got my eyes set on the next milestone ahead in 2017. I plan to move up the leader-board and contribute more posts for our community and the general public.
Wishing everyone in our Active Rain community a very Merry Christmas! May you also have a very productive year in 2017!
