That sounds like it will be a really fun time for all.  I am such a party pooper these days and I am usually asleep by 10 pm on New Years Eve, haha.

Hi Kathy... this does sound like fun for the whole family. Never did get that idea of standing around for hours waiting for some ball to drop at midnight.

Hi Kathy - That's a great way to have fun on New Year's Eve. Fort Collins has had a similar program for years and it is always very well attended.

That would be a fabulous place to bring the whole family on New Years Eve!  We have a huge deal downtown but it's really more for adults than kids.

That sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate.  We are usually asleep by the time the new year arrives in CA, however, this year we are going to a friend's home and will spend the night, so that we all enjoy Champagne and wine.  A

Wayne Martin Delray used to have First Night, like many other cities but it grew to such a size that it became difficult to handle.

Thank you Gita Bantwal Have a wonderful holiday.

Michael Jacobs That would totally work for me.  In my youth, our dinner reservations were around 9 pm.  Can't do that any more.

Brian England the only way I stay awake is because I'm stubborn enough to make myself stay awake for midnight.

Rebecca Lewis neither can I.  It is a law of nature that the older we get, the shorter the year gets.

Hi Dorie Dillard please have a Keep Austin Weird kind of Texas Christmas for me!!!

Sheila Anderson it's nice because families can experience the fireworks but they don't have to wait until midnight.

Anna Banana Kruchten It's even tame enough for me!

Ron and Alexandra Seigel That sounds like a very safe way to spend New Year's Eve.  Smart!  We used to go out with about a dozen or more and even drive to Palm Beach.  Not any more!
