Yep, you read that right.  Day after day for the past 14 years I've read the same book.

You might be saying, "Wow Jerry, you're a slow reader." Or "That must be a really long book".  Well, I'm no speed reader by any stretch of the imagination.  But I'm not that slow either.  And the book is not that long, relatively speaking.  365 pages to be exact.

The book I'm speaking of is "The Wealthy Spirit: Daily Affirmations for Financial Stress Reduction" by Chellie Campbell.

This has been my go to book every morning for the past 14 years after I received it as a gift from a friend.  Now, I know you may be thinking, "I don't believe in namby pamby, pie in the sky affirmations, so this book isn't for me."  But let me stop you there.  This is not that type of book.

Chellie Campbell is a former actress and bookkeeping business owner.  Yes, even she admits she's had a strange career path.  But from her experiences in both the entertainment world and the wolrd of business ownership she has penned a book designed to help everyone navigate through financial stresses and arrive at a point of financial security and peace.

The book is meant to be read as a daily primer, hence the 365 pages. Each day Chellie shares one of hers or a friend or family member's real life experience with financial stress and what was done to overcome the obstacles.  Having gone through difficulties herself her advice and methods resonate loudly.  The six basic principles to her financial stress reduction are:

1. Think positive;

2. Send out ships (prospecting, marketing, networking);

3. Count your money (stay on top of your financial situation);

4. Swim with Dolphins (find YOUR people)

5. Survive the storms (the sun will come up tomorrow)

6. Seek balance and enlightenment.

And I will add, say your daily affirmations (even if you don't believe in affirmations)

These principles have carried me through some rough financial times in my life and I'm sure they can help you whether you are experiencing financial hardship or not.

Chellie Campbell can be found at: http://www.chellie.com/the-wealthy-spirit-blog/   and can be heard at speaking engagements around the country.
