Now that Charlene and I purchased our condo by the ocean, we are spending more time in warmer and sunny Florida versus windy and cold Oklahoma at the holidays season. Christmas here is for a Santa in Bermuda shorts, flip flops, and Hawaiian shirts, unless they are at the Mall in air conditioning which down here they must run at 62 degrees. We are getting used to it and not missing the White Christmas times of old. We were at The Harbourside shopping area where the kids were having a wonderful time with the ice brought in and just throwing it to the ground and seeing it splat. What really caught the spirit og Christmas were the children writing letters to Santaand dropping them in the mail box. This girl was getting her picture taken by her Mom and was so proud of her artistic creation. I so miss thoses days when I thought that Santa was real like her with that smile on her face. The other thing I like about Florida is the way families clelebrate. This is an oldewr picture of a family enjoying Christmas Day on the beach. They set up a tree, a Santa, and a tent. So Christmas for them was a food and drink festivity by the ocean with presents and everyone in swimming suits and not missing a thing from being in a warm climate, and enjoying family and warmth of a different kind. Regardless of where you are and what the conditions might be, I hope that this year was good to you and your family. I also hope that whether you are celebrating with white snow on the ground, white sands at your feet, or just any place youc all home that you are grateful for the bounty you have been given, and I hope that 2017 finds you first of all healthy, second an attitude of lookig forward to the future versus regretting the past, and of course, comfort and joy.
