On December 21, 2016, National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported that regional existing home sales in the Northeast gained 8.0% in November of 2016 to an annual rate 810,000 homes from October of 2016, and higher 15.7% from November of 2015. The median price in theNortheast was $263,000 in November of 2016, increased 3.3% from November of 2015.
Home sales in the Midwest declined 2.2% in November of 2016 to an annual rate 1.33 million homes from October of 2016, but jumped 18.8% from November of 2015. The median price in the Midwest was $188,300 in November of 2016 increased 5.3% from November of 2015.
Home sales in the South was up 1.4% in November of 2016 to an annual rate 2.22 million homes from October of 2016, and rose 11.6% from November of 2015. The median price in the South was $206,900 in November of 2016, increased 9.2% from November of 2015.
Home sales in the West dropped 1.6% in November of 2016 to an annual rate 1.25 million homes from October of 2016, but jumped 19.0% from November of 2015. The median price in the West was $345,400 in November of 2016, hiked 8.3% from November of 2015, according toAdam DeSanctis of NAR on December 22, 2015.
