Disposing Of Your Christmas Tree In Charlotte, NC

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Executive | Charlotte, NC

Charlotte Mecklenburg 2016 Holiday Trash Collection ScheduleDisposing of your Christmas tree in Charlotte, NC is quite simple.
Charlotte City's Solid Waste Services will begin picking up Christmas trees after Christmas, as part of its regular yard waste collection schedule. Be sure to put your tree (free of ornaments, wires, and lights) curbside by 6:30 am on the day of schedule collections in your neighborhood. (And you are asked not to block the sidewalk with your tree.)

Just keep in mind that there will be no regular trash pick-up today, December 26th. All trash pick up will be on a day delay basis this week and neighborhoods that get Friday pick-ups will be picked up on Saturday. Normal pick-up schedules will resume on Monday, January 2nd, 2017.

If you have an artificial tree you want to dispose of, call 311 to schedule.

If you live in a townhome, condo, or rental complex, also call 311 to schedule a pickup.

Wayne Martin ~ good morning, Wayne. Always odd to me how quickly people dispose of their trees. As my grandmother was Russian Orthodox, our tree was always up through Russian Christmas. (This year it's on January 7th) I've never taken down a tree before New Year, myself.

Good Morning Nina - by next weekend I will have taken mine down and put at the curb.  Our town comes around with a mulcher and recycles them.
