May Flowers for my Fabulous Active Rain Friends that I Appreciate!

Thank you to my Active Rain friendsRarely a day goes by that Active Rain doesn't still touch my world in some way. Interestingly enough most of the REALTORS I regularly interact with on Twitter, Facebook, the blogosphere, etc. I met here on Active Rain. It's become quite a family.

Since I work for a small boutique realty company, Active Rain has given us much of the benefits of joining a large Real Estate Company without the fees - lol :) I also must say I never had people be so helpful and supportive.

Ft Worth Dallas Texas Real Estate AgentOver the past year I have been able to learn so much on Active Rain and whenever I have a question I know I can always get great advice and help here.

This weekend was no exception. Sunday, I had a situation where my brother in Ft Worth Texas needed some real estate info however it's wasn't something what would produce "now business". Luckily I was able to easily reach out and email my Active Rain (and By Referral Only) friend Karen Anne Stone and...

  • She was able to get me the requested info in minutes (ok we were both on the web at night);
  • She went the extra mile and gave me and my brother here expert insights;
  • She offered to deliver the info he needed to his home;
  • She helped me earn major brownie points with my brother (always a challenge with my brother).

So Karen I wanted to say... THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Wow, to have easy access to friends who are the local expert is worth so much more than words can say. Thank you Active Rain and thank you Karen Anne Stone - for being such a real estate professional and a great FRIEND!!

So again I ask - What makes Active Rain a place like no other?  For me it's...

  • It's NOT the fact that it's FREE (although that is AWESOME)
  • It's NOT the fact that it's a great place to start blogging and learn about blogging (though it TOTALLY IS )
  • It's NOT the fact that you get great SEO (though that is SWEET)

...it's truly all the great members who constantly share and care... so for me it's the special people here who totally ROCK!!!

Sally Cheeseman Hawaii Realtor On a personal note, my family last week decided to take a vacation to Hawaii this summer and I was able to ask my friend Woo Hoo Sally about places to stay and again got help from the local expert (THANK YOU SALLY) - So whether it's personal or professional - Active Rain ROCKS!

P.S. Have you read Karen's Ft Worth Texas Real Estate blog? Check it out - I think you'll enjoy her humor and wisdom.   Want to be totally WOWed you must read the Hawaii Relocation Blog by Sally Cheeseman.

Active Rain continues to Rock!!

Updated: It's amazing how connected we all are - I wrote this post with no knowledge of the Gift of Appreciation contest - yet experiencing it and writing about the special people that touch my life. So not sure if it fits but I know these are just 2 of the many people that have been a gift to me and I truly appreciate them!!!

I think the agents and others who work and live on AR tend to be those who are committed...that makes all the difference.

Cyndee, the people here do make all the difference.  I can't even begin to tell you how many agents on Active Rain are on my immediate must-call list whenever I hear a reference to a particular city or area of the country.  Karen Anne is a shining example.

Knowledge is a key that keep the AR members on there toes. We are constantly seeking council and associates to bounce our feelings, predicaments and ideas with. And we make friends.

Cyndee - Another great example, the contacts I've made from this forum alone have been more than worth the time I've alotted in being on here.  And on a personal note to Bob Carney, I'm at least worth 1.5 Million amigo:-)

That is really good Cyndee!!  It goes to show that AR is more than just business you really can meet some great people along the way.  I always say houses don't sign contracts and real estate is a PEOPLE business.  This is a great place to be!!!

Hello my BFFE, I totally agree with you. You have said it so well, this place (Active Rain) has made us all a part of a bigger family. When a family member needs help, I can turn my head away. I flagged this for a feature.

Hi Cyndee:  I was only so happy to help you and your brother with your real estate needs.  Yes, I am committed, but mostly I think I should be committed... to a home for crazy Realtors.  It is a great feeling for me to be able to help someone... and helping someone I know makes it even better.  I'm glad I was able to be here for you.  Take care...

Hi Cyndee, So good to see you again in the Rain, it's been a while. Nice to see you also acknowledge Karen. BTW, referring to "now" business, we speak the same language. It's so nice to talk with a fellow BRO professional.

I totally agree that AR fills a void that small companies need.  I love being a small company, but I miss the sharing and exchange of ideas with peers.  AR is just what a small company needs...and big ones too.

Cyndee - You are correct, it is all about  people sharing ideas and we also get the opportunity to learn more about other places as well as markets, and the friendships formed should not be overlooked.

Cyndee, I wanted to thank you for the wonderful comment you left for me. I am hoping you went through with the accolades to the boys. They really need to hear this from both of you. I believe it helps to form their self esteem. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me your comment. It meant a lot and I hope you both had a wonderful Father's Day. Later in the rain~Deb

My new goal is every time I go to a new city on vacation it is to meet a new friend from Activerain. This network has such endless ways to connect and meet new people and makes it even easier to know who we are sending our referrals to.
