Fun Solution for Rainy Days in Hawaii

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

We had a light sprinkling of rain yesterday afternoon for about 15 minutes, but fortunately, most of the rain in Kailua-Kona has stopped. The first 3 weeks of December were unusually wet for this time of year. Not surprising, climate changes are happening everywhere. It's common to get a lot of rain over on the Hilo side but for Kona, which is usually sunny in December, this amount of rain is abnormal.

My husband came up with an idea of something fun we could do over several afternoons, which morphed into an obsession of epic proportions. You can read more about this in my personal blog today at this link: A Cat Jigsaw Puzzle for Those Rainy Day Hawaiian Blues.

How did you like the movie? When I went to watch the Rogue One movie with grandsons, my two phones started to vibrate for minutes right at the end while the epic war was going on! It was a client trying to get hold of me THAT MINUTE. Didn't happen. I needed to find out that the good guys won. Right at the end there is the image of Princess Leia--then she dies a day later--then Debbie Reynolds a day later. And now you are doing PUZZLES? What's going on in the universe? Think I will go to the Moana Hotel for a smoothie.

Hella Mitschke Rothwell I've been binge-watching GGTD on Netflix, which has Carrie Fisher in it. I guess Carrie had a heart attack. I did not know about her mom, though. One day later! Geez. At least Debbie lived longer than Liz Taylor.

Hella Mitschke Rothwell As for Rogue One, I really liked it. Just about as good as the original Star Wars.

For one reason or another, I cannot imagine you sitting quietly and working on something as non-technical as a jigsaw puzzle, Elizabeth!  There's hope for you after all!

Hi Elizabeth -- while I haven't completed a jigsaw puzzle in years(more likely decades), that thought did enter my mind recently....thankfully, it was a fleeting thought.

Myrl Jeffcoat Au contraire, Sugar Bear, jigsaw puzzles require a lot of of analytical thought. There are many ways to match puzzle pieces, different approaches. It is not so surprising I would enjoy it.

Michael Jacobs I suspect you would be pleasantly surprised at how much fun a jigsaw puzzle can be. That was my initial reaction, too, but after I got into it, I changed my mind about it.

More time consuming than the puzzle, I have that same image in a counted cross stitch.  Gave up when I ran out of one of the colors.  Might take it back up.  It would be lovely to frame.
