If you're from Coconut Creek, a great news awaits you with the soon-to-begin construction of The Residence Inn by Marriott. A Miami-based developer got nod after securing its second choice for its second site for this Marriott-branded extended stay hotel.
Originally planned for construction on a 3-acre parcel of land in Lyons Road, the extended stay hotel will instead be erected on the former site of the Grifs Western store. The former was razed by fire in 2010 and was actually an original target too of the developer for its Hampton Inn & Suites which was instead established in 5740 N. State Road . It opened in 2014.
The Residence Inn by Marriott will have its address at the nearby 5730 N. State Road 7. It will have 105 rooms which many believe to show the branded service the name carries. The developer believes otherwise that the area is a great market for extended stay hotels, mainly because of how people received its Hampton Inn & Suites.
From this establishment, residents of Coconut Creek believe that the area will boost human traffic in volume which is enough to drive businesses to upward levels.
The extended stay hotel for development by the Morlin Hospitality Group is expected to be of service by December 2017.
