Living in SouthPark is truly a dream! When it comes to convenience, this live/work community is ever-so desirable and the things to do here are never-ending. Buyers love our community’s location in the city – truly what one would call ‘center city!’ Although our Uptown is actually known as Center City, SouthPark offers an easy, 12-minute commute to Uptown as well as Ballantyne – smack dab in the middle! When it comes to commute time, this is the premier South Charlotte address.
Recent sales have slowed a bit in our area but, that is primarily because of the low inventory and, of course the season. Some feel that the election distraction had an impact on our market but, fall is typically a ‘slower’ season as children have returned to school and preparation for the upcoming holidays becomes a top priority.
Average sales prices are up in SouthPark 12% year-over-year and we have a 2.0 month supply of homes for sale in SouthPark - a STRONG seller's market. Single family home price per square foot averages $162.
Homeowners thinking of selling are simply unable to find their next home in the current market so, they are patiently waiting until they find something and then, plan to list their homes. As a reminder to buyers though, interest rates and sales prices are increasing so, now is a primo time to buy!
