Being a real estate broker in both California and Hawaii, it is imperative to get my message out to clients and potential clients. In order to hire me as their real estate broker, they need to be able to find me and, very importantly, decide that we are a "fit". Yes, clients read our blogs and websites so by the time they call, they usually know a lot about me and often treat me like we have met before.
This is a good time of the year to look back and see how others see me.
My grandsons and I were on GOOGLE yesterday looking up some famous person when I said, "why don't we GOOGLE your grandmother's name and see what comes up."
GOOGLE Results: 26,100 choices!
What impressed them (they are 8 and 10) is that I have a youtube account!
What impressed ME was that I went to page 10 before I found someone not me.
Google's IMAGES:
On Google's IMAGES page, again, there were an impressive number of photos of me or photos that I had taken - right up to when there were a whole bunch of photos of a boxer who was getting a lot of press, Ben Rothwell. What stood out in this images search, are 3 photos in the first 3 rows of GOOGLE IMAGES that Elizabeth Weintraub, an Activerainer had used in her blogs from early last year when we went house hunting together on the Big Island of Hawaii.
