Woodley Park is a Washington favorite. It's got Metro, the National Zoo, lots of restaurants, Rock Creek Park and Klingle Valley, and some beautiful homes.
Most of the homes are attached, and two or three stories high. And most were built during the early part of the last century.
If you want to live there, you'd better find a buyer broker who is familiar with the neighborhood, because most of the listings come and go quickly. And there are not all that many sales.
During 2016, a total of 18 homes sold. Of those:
- The asking prices ran from a low of $799,900 (it needed a good bit of work) to a high of $1,950,000
8 sold over the asking price.
8 sold for less than list
2 sold for the asking price
- 13 of the 18 sold in under three weeks
Only 4 saw price reductions
All but one sold in the original listing period.
So they don't tend to come up very often or stick around very long when they do.
