First Family Dinner of 2017-Mom, Dad, Child, Aunt Suzy

One tradition we've worked to estalish in the past year is "family dinner". Both of our adult children are grown with lives of their own, although one still lives at home.

Yet even when living in the same house, it can be hard to connect and stay in tune with one another.

While we sometimes end up skipping a week or changing the day due to schedules, we've all four of us worked hard to meet at least every 7 to 10 days. Sometimes we enjoin with other family members or friends who are like family.

Tonight was the first family dinner of 2017-me, my husband, our youngest child and my husband's sister, our child's Aunt Suzy. Steve cooked an amazingly delicious barbecued tri-tip-yum, yum.
