Do you watch your competition carefully? We all know that a successful marketing strategy includes analyzing our competition. This research tells us what they are doing, how they are doing it, what is or isn't working, and what public needs are not being met. This is our opportunity to do what they aren't doing and what they are, better!
In real estate, we are all trying to attract buyers and sellers. If we fill a void in our marketplace, we position ourselves as the go-to business for something unique and give the public what is missing. We have to be very creative at setting ourselves apart from the rest. In my county, Westchester NY, we have close to 10,000 agents and 980,000 residents. These numbers equate to roughly one agent per hundred inhabitants! That's a lot of competition and traveling with the herd isn't going to cut it.
