Monet's Water Lilies - Sort Of!

By
Real Estate Agent with RLAH@properties AB95346

These are some of the direct descendants of Claude Monet's famous water lilies.  This is a photo that I took on my last trip to France, when I visited  Giverny, a lovely town north of Paris.  And it is where he painted his famous water lilies that hang in the Musée de l'Orangerie.

These were messed with, of course, with my fun new photo editor (Movani).  Now I am trying to figure out a way to take a photo of a house and turn it into a what looks like an oil painting!  Maybe I should just take some painting lessons!

Beth, it really is an amazing place.  I took a lot of photos and love to look at them once in a while when the weather is cold here.

Joe, I can't paint at all.  My mother was an amazing artist, and it skipped a generation!

Dick, I played around with some house photos but they didn't look so hot as oil paintings!

Myrl, I went to see the huge panels that are at the Musée de l'Orangerie, and they were amazing.

Debbie, someone said they have ways of printing them onto canvas.  That could be fun.

Joan, it's not as good as Photoshop, but it is a whole lot easier to use - at least on a Mac.

Hi Pat

That's a beautiful shot that you tweaked with Movani. Not familiar with that app - will check it out.

I haven't been to Givenry but had seen the fruits of Monet's painting labor multiple times. Truly amazing. Perhaps the next trip to France will have to include Giverny, too!

At first I wondered why this did not resonate despite its beauty and then I realized, OMG, Pat shot this with a camera and altered it somewhat. My husband has a new software program on his cell that changes photos into certain types of art, I'll have to ask him what it is.

Claude Monet is one of my favorite artists! This must be a very special place to visit and you're a lucky gal to have had the opportunity! I think the photo turned out wonderful! I usually see the mud under the lilies and I don't see it in your photograph.

May you continue to visit all the places on earth you still desire to see!

Pat,

Keep those French pictures coming, I loved when we went to Giverny, then we ate at the little restaurant in front of Monet's home and I had the best omlette ever there and it was huge!
