There is no sound that will rip you from a deep sleep faster than the sound of your pet (in my case, my dog) making that wretching sound as he prepares to throw-up in the wee hours of the morning.
I leap from the comfort and warmth of my bed (the word leap is a bit misleading, but I do get up faster than normal) to try to find where the dog is throwing-up.
Is he on my couch?? My leather chair?? One of the rugs??
Or is he being seriously considerate, and throwing up on the tile floor of the kitchen? (no such luck).
Feeling better, now, are you? Let me go get the paper towels.
