Symptom Check - Is It an Allergy or a Cold?
I have had a cold/bronchitis for the last couple of weeks. I knew exactly when the virus hit me and felt the tingles in my chest. This is the time of year so many people are sick. Wash your hands often, cover your mouth when you cough, get plenty of rest and drink lots of liquids. This too shall pass.
It seems like so many of my family or friends are suffering from allergies or colds these past few weeks. They are self-medicating with Claritin, throat sprays, and cough drops.
However, symptoms sometimes provide an indication about whether it's an allergy or a cold.
If the bug seems to be progressive, rather than having symptoms come at once, it's probably a cold.
The following table may help you determine what it is you have - Allergies or a cold!
