Getting Back to Fishhawk Lake--Can't Wait!!
Towards the end of 2016, I was approached to sell this cabin on the canal at Fishhawk Lake in Birkenfeld OR. Many many years ago, my husband and I were going to make an offer on it and about a New York second before that, the current seller had made an offer and it was accepted.
Fast forward about 13 years. I walked into this cabin and fell in love all over again. I went home and told my husband about it going back on the market. Since we were now debt-free, we were looking for a write-off and he was looking at this as an investment property, while giving me a chance to get back to the lake. Talk about doing the happy dance!!
We will be closing sometime in early February and things are clicking along nicely. I helped get the existing seller's pontoon sold to the lake, as we already own a nice pontoon that seems to just be moving up and down Beach Drive...this will be its 4TH LOCATION on a dock along Beach Drive!

This cabin will be my office at Fishhawk Lake, where I can meet buyers and sellers in a comfy true log cabin atmosphere...just the ticket to give buyers a feel for what they can experience as new owners of a home at or on Fishhawk Lake. What could be better??
It is steps away from the community lodge, just over the bridge and across from the tennis court. With an extra lot, I'll have plenty of room for parking. I'll even have this for family and friends to stay in if there is overflow, since we only have one extra bedroom for guests in our ranch home, a 1/2 mile away on Fishhawk Road.
February is also a time at Fishhawk Lake when we see a preview of warmer weather, a sneak peek if you will, of spring. It is often just a small tease and then we go back to winter for a bit. (Check out the link above for a flavor the Seasons of Fishhawk Lake).
