Top 10 Things to Do in Charlotte in 2017 - #1 Attend a Knights, Panthers or Hornets Game

*This is #1 in a series of our top 10 picks.  Visit our Facebook page - Things to Do in Charlotte for even more things to do in the metro region!

What’s NOT to love about Charlotte?  We are a mecca of diversity, contained within a lush, green backdrop to the beautiful parks, architectural appeal throughout the city, high-rises in Uptown as well as glorious condos, townhomes and single family homes within the 12-county region.  Charlotte offers so much to her residents, including a strong job market and an incredibly affordable lifestyle.

There’s simply so much to do here in Charlotte and this month, we’re going to focus on the top 10 things to do here, whether a resident or visitor!  The first thing you simply must catch is at least one game/match in one of our sporting venues.

#1 Attend a Knights, Panthers or Hornets game

No, you don’t have to be a sports fan to enjoy a professional or semi-professional game. For example, the views from the Charlotte Knights’ BB&T Ballpark are out of this world!   Many travel from far and wide to tailgate before a Carolina Panthers game. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve overheard tailgating attendees say, “I don’t know anything about football - I just enjoy the atmosphere!

You may want to catch dinner in one of our world-class restaurants in Uptown before heading to watch a Charlotte Hornets game.  You wouldn’t believe the number of celebrity sightings at these games!  You don’t even have to watch the game if you don’t love sports - just enjoy the company you’re with and the people-watching!

We think you’ll soon grow to love our teams and wind up cheering for the home team as loudly as we do!  You may also want to check out some of Charlotte’s other teams:  the Charlotte Hounds (lacrosse), Charlotte Checkers (hockey) and of coruse, the Charlotte Independence (soccer).

Stay tuned throughout the month for more of our top picks for your Charlotte things to do bucket lists!

I don't follow sports but enjoy watching a game on occasion. That looks like a nice venue!

I am not a fan of football, but my hubby is.  Charlotte has great restaurants and I always enjoyed visiting my sister when she lived in Charlotte.

Good morning Debe.  Hmm, I  can't recall if I've ever been to Charlotte.  I'll ask the boss to make sure. Sounds like there is a sport for everyone  to enjoy

I would opt to attend the Hornets game from those choices!  If I had the opportunity though, I would prefer catching a college game on Tobacco Road!
