I say – “Down with updates!”
I love my computer. I love the Internet and email, but…
This morning I created a new page on my website with information about a new prospecting letter set: Prospecting to Newlyweds.
All was well until I clicked the button to preview the page. Then I saw that the sidebar that at one time was ONLY on my blog posts was now on all of my pages. Worse – it had a spot at the bottom of the sidebar informing the world that I should have written something there, but didn’t.
After spending an hour clicking various links and trying to figure out how to get that unwanted sidebar removed, I gave up and wrote something dumb in the space. Since I’m totally non-techie, I’m afraid to get too wild – I might erase the whole site by accident!
As soon as I realized it would be no easy fix for me, I sent a “help” message to the guru who helps me when I’m completely stuck.
I don’t really expect him to answer me on Sunday – and since we’re not in constant touch, for all I know he’s off on a well-earned vacation. So for now, ALL of my web pages have an unwanted sidebar.
It wasn’t there a couple of days ago, so all I can assume is that Wordpress did an update.
Ah well – onward!
